Prerequisites
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length).
3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in “Removing the hard drive”.
4 Remove the system-board assembly.
Procedure
1 Peel o the ngerprint reader cable from the palm-rest assembly.
2 Peel o the Mylar that secures the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.

3 Open the latches and disconnect the keyboard cable and keyboard-backlight cable from the keyboard-controls board.
4 Lift up the Mylar to access the screws that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.
