Now you have successfully setup your EPAD2-USB in DASYLab.
How to setup EPAD2-USB in DEWESoft™
First of all, a valid DEWESoft™ license is required to run EPAD modules in DEWESoft™ such
as DS-7-LT or higher.
Connect the DEWE2-USB to the PC/Laptop via USB interface after installing the USB drivers and start
DEWESoft™. Due to the fact that DEWESoft™ lists all available COM ports it is neccessary to determine the
correct COM port in the Microsoft® Windows® device manager.
For this, klick on "Start" > "Control panel" and navigate to "Device manager". In the device manager select
"Connectors (COM & LPT)" and note which COM port is used by the driver for the EPAD2-USB.
In DEWESoft™ select "Settings" > "Hardware setup".

For the EPAD2-USB select "COM port or ofine" from the ampliers dropdown menu. Afterwards select the
"COM port" corresponding to the used one in the Microsoft
®
Windows
®
device manager.
