Onboard dual stage shock sensor
There is a dual-stage shock sensor inside the control module. To adjust
the sensor follow the shock sensor programming described below.
The shock sensor does not work well when the control module is mount-
ed firmly to metal. Do not screw down the control module when mount-
ing. The full trigger of the onboard shock sensor reports on Zone 2.
See the Table of Zones.
(The sensor can also be adjusted using the Bitwriter programming tool.)
Important:
When adjusting the sensor, place it in the
mounting location where it is to be installed. Adjust-
ing the sensor and then relocating it, requires readjust-
ment.
The system must be disarmed. Doors and other protected entries must
be closed, and the ignition Off.
To enter Shock Sensor Adjustment Mode:
Press and hold the LED/Valet switch for 5 seconds. The LED turns 1.
On for 5 seconds.
While the LED is On Press

then

. Continue holding
the LED/Valet switch until the LED turns Off.
Release the LED/Valet switch. The LED flashes the number of times 2.
corresponding to the current setting of the impact sensor.
The impact sensor has 16 settings including the Off setting. The shock
sensor can only be reset with the ZAP function on the Bitwriter.
