Characters
To setup Rule using the Characters option when Data type is Customize:

From the Home screen, select the Settings icon:

Scroll down to the Rule settings.

Select Configurations.

7. Set Package length to the number of bytes in the data package. If the data package is7.
shorter/longer than this length, the data will not be accepted. For example, in the data
package below, Package length should be set to 16:

The Prefix setting can be used to set the characters that mark the start of the data8.
package. For example, in the data package below, Prefix should be set to ST:

9. The Sux setting can be used to set the characters that mark the end of the data package.9.

10. Use the VDC field options, to set how many variable data objects will be printed in the10.
label. For example, if the label will contain 1 variable data object, only tick VDC1.
11. Use the Start characters and End characters settings to define the start and end of11.

$AB# and End characters to $CD:
