Oil Pump Removal

Remove or Disconnect
1. Bolt from oil pump to main bearing cap.
2. Oil pump assembly.
3. Driveshaft and retainer.

Engine Front Cover Removal
IMPORTANT: Once the composite cover is
removed, DO NOT reinstall it. Always install a
new engine front cover.
Start By:
a. Removing crankshaft pulley.
b. Remove crankshaft balancer.
1. Remove bolts from cover.
2. Remove cover from engine.

Measure
• Check camshaft timing chain free play. If the
camshaft timing chain can be moved back and
forth in excess of 16 mm (0.625 in.), make a note
that the camshaft timing chain should be replaced
during assembly.
