Imaging modes
B-mode
B-mode is the system’s default imaging mode. The system displays echoes in two
dimensions by assigning a brightness level based on the echo signal amplitude.
M-mode
M-mode is also known as Motion Mode. It provides a trace of the image
displayed over time. A single beam of ultrasound is transmitted, and reflected
signals are displayed as dots of varying intensities, which create lines across the
screen.
