12 Dismantling / Disposal
Dismantling
The system may only be dismantled by specialist personnel. Before commencing
dismantling, ensure that the unit has been fully isolated from the power supply. The device
must be flushed through with care in order to get rid of any residual chemicals.
Disposal
The pump is predominantly made of steel (and also of aluminium to a certain
extent) (apart from the electrical equipment) and is to be disposed of in
accordance with the local environmental regulations prevailing at that time.
Depending on the condition, existing regulations and with due regard for
current requirements, dispose of it, for example, as
electrical waste (printed circuit boards), plastics (housing), metal plates, steel,
copper, aluminium (separate after sorting). Prior to disposal, all parts which
are in contact with media must be decontaminated.
Oils, solvents, detergents and contaminated cleaning tools (brushes, cloths,
etc.) must be disposed of in compliance with local requirements, in
accordance with the prevailing waste code and with due attention to the notes
contained in the manufacturers' safety data sheets.
