To update (flash) the device firmware, the device must be powered via the power
supply terminals.
7.6.2 FieldCare
Function scope
FDT-based plant asset management tool from Endress+Hauser. FieldCare can configure all
smart field devices in a system and helps you manage them. By using the status
information, FieldCare is also a simple but effective way of checking their status and
condition.
Access is via:
• CDI service interface
• PROFINET interface
Typical functions:
• Parameterization of transmitters
• Loading and saving of device data (upload/download)
• Documentation of the measuring point
• Visualization of the measured value memory (line recorder) and event logbook

7.6.3 DeviceCare
Function scope
Tool to connect and configure Endress+Hauser field devices.
Together with the device type managers (DTMs), DeviceCare presents a convenient,
comprehensive solution.

7.7 HistoROM
When replacing the electronic insert, the stored data is transferred by reconnecting the
HistoROM. The device does not work without HistoROM.
The device serial number is saved in the HistoROM. The electronics serial number is saved
in the electronics.
