3. Remove excess seal tape from the flange opening and threads and
check threads for galling. Refer to Figure B–14 below.
4. Remove the new pressure sensor from the packaging. Retain the
black connector cap on the sensor - do not remove.
5. Wrap stainless steel PTFE tape around the threads at the top of the
pressure sensor, beginning from the base of the threads to the top,
approximately three times taking care to avoid covering the top
opening. Refer to Figure B–15 below.
6. Insert the new pressure sensor into the threaded flange keeping the
sensor parallel to the surface for proper fitting.
Contact Service to arrange for a repair if the threads show signs
of galling indicating a possible leak. Refer to “Service Contact”
on page B-31.
