Voluntary and Mandatory Energy Events
An Energy Event can be voluntary or mandatory.
In the case of a Voluntary Energy Event you may accept the modifications suggested by your utility,
or you can either Override the event or Opt-Out of it.
The Overriding of a voluntary Energy Event can be done while starting a Temporary Hold after the
event has started, as will be explained in the next section.
You can also Opt-Out from Voluntary Energy Events by selecting the Energy Options menu from
the Main menu and then selecting Opt-Out. If you change your mind, you can Opt-In by selecting
Opt-In from the Energy Options menu. Note that once you select to Opt-Out you will be excluded
from all future voluntary energy events until you select to Opt-In again.
