Instructions for use Epec 4W30 20
(C) Epec Oy Seinäjoki Finland
4.9 Low Speed
When pressing simultaneously the keys "Grapple closed" and "Feed
forward" or "Feed backward", pump 1 starts, and after the pre-set
feed delay
(K34) the lowermost direction valve is controlled on. An oil
flow corresponding to the low speed is achieved either by controlling
the lowermost direction valve mentioned above with short pulses or, if
a pump with adjustable volume is used, the pump output is controlled
according to the
low speed
setting (K7). At the beginning of the feed,
after the first length pulse, the equipment gives a short control
Knives open
.
When the length has been reached, pump 1 is released and the
lowermost direction valve is controlled to close.
When the tree has stopped, pump 1 starts again after the pre-set
pump release delay
(K35).
4.10 Grapple Open
When the key "Grapple open" is pressed, the delimbing knives, the
tracks and the back knife are opened.
If the tilt is in the upper position, a short press (less than 1.5 seconds)
results in opening of the grapple only as long as the key is pressed,
and then it is closed again. This makes the transfer of the grapple to
the butt end of the tree faster.
When feeding the tree forward, the grapple is opened only as long as
the key "Grapple open" is pressed, and as soon as the switch has
been released, the grapple is closed again.
Pump 1 remains in operation as long as the tracks move.
When the grapple is in open position, the sawing function is
prevented.
4.11 Grapple Closed
When the button "Grapple closed" is pressed, the delimbing knives
are first closed, and after a preset
tracks delay
(K47) the tracks are
closed. During the feed, the delimbing knives and the tracks are
closed simultaneously.
Pump 1 remains in operation as long as the tracks are moving.
4.12 Sawing
When pressing the key "Saw", pump 1 and saw motor starts. After
the pre-set
saw delay
(K33), pump 2 starts, the saw comes out of the
saw casing and cuts the tree. When the saw button is released, the
saw chain stops and the sawbar returns into the casing.
Pump 1 remains in operation until the sawbar is in its casing.
