Replacing the Drive (Only for PP-100III)
The two drives of the product are replacable with the exclusive optional BD drives.
When the drives have reached the end of their service life, writing or reading errors can easily
occur. In that case, replace the drive. The drives can be replaced even before the end of their
service life.
Note:
n You can check the service life of drive 1 and drive 2 with EPSON Total Disc Setup.

n When it is almost time to replace a drive, a message notifying you that it is almost time to replace
it is displayed once per day when you start up EPSON Total Disc Monitor.
n When it is time to replace a drive, a message notifying you that it is time to replace it is displayed
once per day when you start up EPSON Total Disc Monitor.
See the instruction manual of the exclusive optional drive to replace drives.

Warning:
Do not put your fingers inside the drive slots.

Caution:
n Be sure to follow the instructions shown in the instruction manual of the drive when
replacing the drive.
n Both drive 1 and drive 2 must be installed. Otherwise the PP-100III will not operate.
n Do not use other drives than the Epson exclusive optional drive. Otherwise the product and
the drive may be damaged.

n Do not replace the drives more than 40 times for each slot. Damage of the drive connectors
can destroy the drive and product.
