Transporting Your Product
If you need to transport your product some distance, carefully prepare and repack it. Be sure to
use the original box and packing materials.

Warning:
The product is heavy, so have two people lift the product.

Caution:
n When storing or transporting the product, do not tilt it, stand it up vertically, or turn it
upside down. If you need to transport the product, carefully prepare and repack it using the
original box and packing materials in order to protect the product from shock.
n Leave the ink cartridges installed. Removing the cartridges can dry out the print head and
may prevent the product from printing.
n Only for the PP-100III/PP-100AP: Leave the maintenance box installed. Removing the
maintenance box may cause ink leakage.
n Only for the PP-100III: Be sure to remove the two drives before transporting. Otherwise, the
drives and the PP-100III may be deformed or damaged. See the instruction manual of the
exclusive optional drive to remove drives.
1. Turn off the product and unplug its power cord.
2. Disconnect the interface cable.
3. Remove all discs from the stackers.
4. For the PP-100III, remove the two drives.
5. Open the ink cartridge cover. Secure the ink cartridges with tape; then close the ink cartridge
cover.
6. Close the stacker 4 tray (only for PP-100III/PP-100AP) and the disc cover. Secure them with
tape.
7. Attach the protective materials to both sides of the product.
8. Repack the product and accessories in the original box.
Note:
n Keep the product level during transport.
n Be sure to remove the protective materials and tape from the product before using it again.
