SLP Settings
Note: Large format inkjet printers do not support this function.
Domain Name Leave it blank or enter two or more characters of the
domain name. The total number of characters of the host
name and the domain name must not exceed 251.
Register Network Interface Address
to DNS Server
Select Enable if you want to send the host name and the
domain name to the DHCP server that supports Dynamic
DNS update to request for DNS dynamic updates.
Register Network Interface Address
Directly to DNS Server
Select Enable if you want to directly send the host name
and the domain name to the DNS server that supports
Dynamic DNS update to request for DNS dynamic
updates.When Register the network interface’s address to
DNS server is Disable, then this setting is the same as
Disable.
Items Explanations
Use Universal Plug and Play Enables or disables Universal Plug and Play.
Device Name Enter the device name (between 2 and 63 characters).

Use Bonjour Select either Enable or Disable to use Bonjour.
Bonjour Name Enter the Bonjour name.
Bonjour Printer Name Enter the printer name for Bonjour.

Use SLP Select either Enable or Disable to use the SLP function.
TTL (-1, 1-15) Enter the number of routers through which a packet can
travel before being discarded or returned when using the
SLP function. If you do not want to use the TTL setting, enter
-1.
