Ribbon Problems

Make sure that the ribbon is:

Properly tight
$
Not worn out or dry
$
Not torn or damaged in any other way
$
Not jammed
$
Ribbon turned over ?
$
Carriage does not move smoothly
$
Examine the paper path. Remove any obstacles. Check that all packing
material is removed.

Examine the carriage area for obstacles. Remove where necessary.
