Platen Gap Adjust Mechanism
Set the platen gap adjust lever, attached to the left upper side of the printer cover, to the
appropriate position for the paper thickness. The platen gap adjust mechanism consists of the
platen gap adjust lever, carriage guide shaft, and two parallelism adjust bushings. Switching the
lever between positions 0 and + rotates the carriage guide shaft toward the front or rear. The
bushings have an eccentricity toward the center of the carriage guide shaft, and the platen gap is
changed from wide to narrow or vice versa.
