4.2.4 ASF Assy
1. Remove the Upper Housing.
For Stylus Photo 1400/1410: See section 4.2.1.4 on page 80.
For Stylus Photo 1390: See section 4.3.1 on page 128.
2. Remove the screw C.B.S. 3x8 that secures the Earth Cables positioned on the right
rear side of the printer, and remove the Earth Cables.
3. Disconnect the ASF Motor Connector from the Relay Connector.
4. Disconnect the Relay Connector Cable from the ASF Assy.

5. Disconnect all the Cables and the FFCs from the connectors on the Relay Board.
CN1 : Relay FFC
CN2 : PE Sensor Cable
CN4 : APG Sensor Cable (downside)
CN5 : APG Sensor Cable (the upper side)
CN6 : PF Encoder Sensor FFC
6. Disconnect the FFC bundled by the Acetate Tape 2 from the connectors (CN5,
CN10, CN11, CN12, CN14, CN15) on the Main Board, and release it from the
groove of the ASF Assy.
7. Remove the Acetate Tape 2, and disconnect the APG Motor Cable and PE Sensor
Cable from the ASF Assy.
8. Peel off the PF Encoder FFC secured by two pieces of double-sided adhesive tape
from the ASF Assy.

Secure the two Earth Cables together with the screw.
Referring to Figure 4-27, correctly route the Relay Connector
Cable.
