This table describes the status of the lights on your printer and
the required actions you need to take.
O = on, F = flashing
To replace an ink cartridge using the H ink button, follow the steps
below.
Note:
The illustrations show replacement of the light light black ink cartridge.
Replace the ink cartridge appropriate to your situation.
1. Make sure that the printer is on. The P power light should be
on, but not flashing.
2. Open the top printer cover.
Note:
Do not replace the black (photo black/matte black) ink cartridges
during printing as an ink error occurs.
Lights Action
F H Obtain a replacement light light black (T0599), light
magenta (T0596), light cyan (T0595), light black (T0597),
photo black (T0591), matte black (T0598), cyan (T0592),
magenta (T0593), or yellow (T0594) ink cartridge.
O H Replace the empty ink cartridge.
