5.3.13 Ink Mark Sensor Adjustment for Auto Nozzle Check
This menu automatically adjusts the Ink Mark Sensor scanning timing (drive pulse of
the CR and PF motors), and also checks the sensor for dot-missing detection
sensitivity. Since the scanning timing varies by unit-to-unit according to the CR and PF
motors’ characteristic, the timing adjustment is made by storing a difference
(correction value) between standard values (pulses) and actually measured values.
First the printer automatically prints a pattern and makes the timing adjustment in both
main and sub scanning directions using the pattern. Then two patterns (with and
without dot-missing) are printed to check the dot-missing detection sensitivity of the
sensor.
