Shaking the Ink Cartridges
You must remove the ink cartridges installed in the product and thoroughly shake them once every three
weeks to maintain print quality. You must shake the White and Metallic Silver ink cartridges (SC-S80600
only) daily.
Caution: Be careful handling the ink cartridge as there may be ink around the ink supply port.
Warning: If ink gets on your skin, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush
them immediately with water. If ink gets into your mouth, spit it out and see a doctor right away. Keep ink
cartridges out of the reach of children.
Hold the ink cartridge horizontally and shake it about 15 times within 5 seconds.

Replacing the Ink Cartridges
Make sure you have your replacement cartridges handy before you begin. You must install new
cartridges immediately after removing the old ones.
Note: Replace all expended ink cartridges. You cannot print if any of the ink cartridges are expended or
any ink slots are empty.
