In applications where surface-mounting is not feasible, OneTrack Backbone provides most of
the stability benefits of surface-mounting in a structure that can be suspension-mounted.
OneTrack Backbone is compatible with standard strut beam clamps and other hardware that
allow for robust connections to building structure.
For suspension-mounting applications where the size of OneTrack Backbone makes it
unsuitable or undesirable, you must install structural connection points to support joint
positions as illustrated below.
• When using an Electrical Straight Coupler (see
Electrical Straight Coupler on page 39
),
use a four-inch pendant clip (see
Four-inch Pendant Clip on page 45
) to support the
connection point (see
Figure 16
). If you are unable to locate a structural attachment
point over the joint, use a four-inch pendant clip to support the track joint and a two-
inch pendant clip (see
Two-inch Pendant Clip on page 44
) to provide attachment points
as close to either side of the joint as possible (see
Figure 17
).
