Input and Output Boards
On the XTP II CrossPoint 1600, the top slots are for input boards and the bottom slots are
for output boards. On the XTP II CrossPoint 3200 and XTP II CrossPoint 6400, slots on the
left are for input boards and the slots on the right are for output boards. Each board installed
in a slot supports up to four inputs or outputs of the applicable type (see Input and
Output Boards and Signal Types on page 4, item

Input boards can be installed in any order in the input slot locations. Output boards can
likewise be installed in any order in the output slot locations. You can skip a slot with the
only result being that the inputs or outputs serviced by that slot location are not present in
the matrix. For example, if you omit installing a board in input slot 3, inputs 9 through 12 are
not present and the first connector in input slot 4 remains input 13.
