3.5 Operation as function modules F24 to CC-Link master version 1.1
For 1-fold cycle time setting, the bus node uses the CC-Link version 1.1 to communicate with the mas-
ter.
This allows the bus node to be operated also in the configuration as a function module F24 to a master,
which only suppor ts CC-Link version 1.1.
Due to efficient use of the address space in the configuration as a function module F24 it may thus be
possible to realise greater expansion of the CPX terminal to a CC-Link master version 1.1, as in the con-
figuration as a function module F23 ( Examples in section 3.2.3 and 5.3.1).
In addition, the bus node automatically determines the number of stations required.
For the address capacity of the CPX, the terminal for the following conditions apply:
– For cycle time opt imised mapping, the address capacity of the CPX terminal, the address space of
4 stations for 1 × cycle time may not be exceeded ( Section 2.4.8).
– For station optimised mapping, the address capacity of the CPX terminal, the address space of
1 station for 1 × c ycle time may not be exceeded ( Sec tion 2.4.8).
Note
If through co nversion or extension of the CPX terminal, the address space supported by
the CC-Link version 1.1 is exceeded, the bus node changes to CC-Link version 2.0. Com-
munication with a V1.1 control is no longer possible.
