PRIOR TO APPLICATION
1. Operator should familiarize themselves with the area to be seeded and develop a plan to
ensure uniform application.
2. Develop a plan for communication between operator and driver of the carrying or towing
vehicle to signal for start, stop, turn, etc. through the use of the signal horn.
3. Operator takes up position on the platform. From this point, application will be controlled by
the use of the clutch, valve, discharge assembly, and throttle.
DISCHARGE NOZZLE SELECTION
Nozzles are stored in the tool box. This HydroSeeder
®
is equipped with six nozzles – two long
distance and four fan nozzles. The smaller long distance nozzle is generally better suited for seed,
fertilizer, and/or lime application while the large long distance nozzle is better for wood fiber mulch
application. All of the fan nozzles are generally suited for both types of application.
