8.8.3 Replacing the 3G / GPRS antenna
To enhance the level of communication, the antenna is integrated to the top.
A replacement whip-type antenna (1) can be installed in the housing top (2) to avoid
replacing the entire top.
8.8.3.1 Preliminary operations
A. Open the maintenance door
B. Turn off the terminal
8.8.3.2 Replacement
A. Disconnect the Modem board antenna.
B. Take the thread out of the housing.
8.8.3.3 Installation
If a 4G antenna is installed as a replacement of a 3G antenna, perform the following
operations:
Replace the 3G Modem board with a compatible 4G Modem board
Place a FCC sticker on the equipment (US market only).
C. Install a whip-type antenna.
8.8.3.4 End of procedure
A. Turn on the terminal
B. Close the maintenance door
