transformer. The current-carrying conductor
being measured serves
as
the primary.

This insulation reduces the chance

inadvertent short circuit while using the probes in their
extended configuration. Although the
Y8140
test leads
are intended for measuring voltages, they may also
be
used for measuring low currents.
