Using Multiple Remote ID Locators
Using multiple remote ID locators helps you identify
multiple network connections at a patch panel, as shown in
Figure 19.
The display in Figure 19 shows that the tester is connected
to the cable terminated with remote ID locator number 3.
The MicroScanner

display shows an ID locator icon () near
the ID locator’s number.
WCaution
Do not use multiple far end adapters in star or
bus topologies. Doing so causes incorrect
wiremap results.
