2. Adjust the CO
2
setpoint to 0% by turning the CO
2
set screw on the control
module. (Refer to Figure 7-1) This will prevent CO
2
being injected while the
chamber is being calibrated.
3. Turn the CO
2
zero adjust screw on the control panel to match the digital
display with the reading of the test instrument.
4. Reset the CO
2
setting to the desired setpoint.
5. Open the doors to the chamber for 10 seconds to lower the CO
2
content in the
chamber.
6. Allow the incubator to stabilize for at least 30 minutes with both doors
closed.
7. Re-check the CO
2
concentration in the chamber with the test instrument. The
CO
2
should now be calibrated.
b. Complete CO
2
Control Calibration
Typical conditions for a complete calibration of the CO
2
control are:
After the CO
2
controller is replaced.
After the CO
2
sensor is replaced.
If there is reason to believe that the controller has previously been calibrated
incorrectly.
If the CO
2
concentration when checked by a Fyrite or other test instrument differs
by more than ± 1% from the display.
If laboratory procedures call for a periodic complete calibration.
Tools Needed:
Calibration screwdriver (provided).
Circuit board extender card (provided).
FYRITE CO
2
Analyzer.
1. Turn off all electric power to the incubator.
