13. Allow the chamber to fill and stabilize for at least 15 minutes.
14. Using a Fyrite or other calibrated test instrument, check the CO
2
level in the
chamber until two consecutive readings agree.
15. Turn the CO
2
screw to 00.0% to prevent CO
2
being injected into the
chamber during calibration.
16. Adjust the span screw on the side of the circuit board to match the digital
display with the test instrument.
17. Turn the CO
2
screw to the desired CO
2
setting.
18. Open both chamber doors for ten seconds to lower the CO
2
content in the
chamber and cause the control to inject CO
2.
19. Close the doors and allow the temperature, humidity and CO
2
to stabilize for
at least 45 minutes.
20. Recheck the chamber CO
2
content until two consecutive readings agree.
21. If the incubator’s digital display and the test instrument do not agree, repeat
steps 9 through 20.
Removing the Extender Card
Once the module is calibrated, the Extender Card must be removed and the
CO
2
Control Module returned to its proper position in the incubator panel.
1. Turn off the incubator.
2. Firmly pull the Control Module rearward until it releases from the internal
connector strip.
3. Remove the Extender Card.
4. Replace the Control Module into its location in the incubator panel.
Note: After proper calibration the CO
2
display will be more accurate than the
FYRITE, because the zero adjustment was made using atmospheric
conditions.
