Remove boiler from crate
The boiler is heavy. Use caution not to drop the
boiler or cause bodily injury while liing and han-
dling. Verify that the boiler is securely attached to
prevent possibility of boiler falling aer installation.
Do not drop boiler or bump jacket on oor or pallet.
Damage to boiler can result.
Cold weather handling — If boiler has been stored
in a very cold location (below 0°F) before installa-
tion, handle with care until the plastic components
come to room temperature.
1. e boiler is generally easier to handle and maneuver aer
removing the shipping container.

Leave the boiler resting on the styrofoam protective base
and bottom cardboard cap, until ready to place on the wall.
e boiler is arranged and designed for wall
mounting and comes standard with a hanging
bracket. e wall xture must ensure stable and
eective support for the boiler.
Please review the following information on potential combustion
air contamination problems.
See Table 1 for products and areas which may cause contaminated
combustion air.
To prevent potential of severe personal injury or
death, check for products or areas listed below be-
fore installing boiler. If any of these contaminants
are found:
• remove contaminants permanently.

• isolate boiler and provide outside combustion air.

Install air inlet piping for the FreeStyle® boiler as
described in this manual.
e air termination tting must be installed with
the clearances and geometry relative to the vent
outlet depicted in this manual to ensure that ue
products do not enter the air intake.
Ensure that the combustion air will not contain
any of the contaminants in Table 1. Do not pipe
combustion air near a swimming pool, for example.
Avoid areas subject to exhaust fumes from laundry
facilities. ese areas will always contain contami-
nants.
Contaminated combustion air will damage the
boiler, resulting in possible severe personal injury,
death or substantial property damage.
