Procedure for opening the Fronius IG Plus for service or maintenance:
1. Disconnect the AC and DC sides from the inverter
2. Open the connection area
3. Turn off DC main switch
4. Remove plate covers
5. Allow the capacitors to discharge (5 minutes)
6. If present, remove the fuse for the solar module ground
7. If present, remove string fuses
8. Disconnect DC cable
9. Disconnect AC cable

Fronius recommends a fuse with 1
A and a dimension of 10 x 38 mm
for solar module grounding.
*) Plastic bolts are included in the
Fronius IG Plus scope of delive-
ry.
Inserting the fuse will ground the
solar module at the positive pole.
