Correct routing of a welding power-lead
The way that the welding power-leads
are routed has a very significant effect
on the weld properties. Depending on
the length and routing of the welding
power-leads, a high welding circuit in-
ductivity can occur – the current rise
during droplet transfer is limited.
The welding circuit inductivity L is cal-
culated during welding and shown on
the right-hand display.
L ... Welding circuit inductivity ... x microhenrys (e.g. 5 microhenrys)
IMPORTANT! The welding circuit inductivity cannot be compensated for. An at-
tempt must be made to change the welding result by correctly routing the wel-
ding power-leads.
