8.3 NTP Server Operation Settings
Modify /etc/ntp.conf for full-time connection environment setting, which allows communi-
cation with higher level NTP servers continuously. Make the basic settings for ntpd since full-time
connection environment allows the ntpd to request to the higher level NTP servers at any time.
The following shows an example of /etc/ntp.conf for full-time connection environment.
driftfile /var/lib/ntp/drift
server NTP_server_name
