When connecting and disconnecting cables, observe the relevan t
notes in this operating manual.
Read the information on the ambient conditions in the "
Technical data", Page
68 and "First-time setup of your device", Pag e 15 before preparing your
notebook for use and switching it on for the rst time.
When cleaning the device, please ob serve the r elevant notes in the
section "
Cleaning th e notebook", Page 14.
Pay attention to the additional safety notes for devices with wireless
components provided in the "Saf ety" manual.

s LAN, Bluetooth, UMTS) is integrated in your notebook, you
must be sure to observe the fol
lowing safety notes when using your notebook:
Switch off the radio componen
ts when you are in an aircra ft or d riving in a car.
Switch off the radio components when y ou are in a hospital, an operating room or nea r a medical
electronics system. The transmitted radio waves can impair the op eration of medical devices.
Switch off the r adio componen
ts when you let the device get near ammable
gases or into hazardous envi
ronments (e.g. p etrol station, paintshops), as the
transmitted radio waves can
cause an explosion or a re.
