Indicator Description
Battery indicator
The state of charge of the ba ttery is shown by the battery indicator.
• The indicator is not illuminated: The notebook is switched off.
• The indicator flashes red (1 second on/1 second off). Malfunction.
With mains adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up blue: The battery is charged to between 50 % and 100
% of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charged to between 13 % and 49
% of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator lights up red: Th e battery is charged to less than 12 % o f its
capacity.
In suspend mode:
• The indicator slowly flashes blue (1 se cond on/5 seconds off): T he battery is
charged to between 50 % and 100 % of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator slowly flashes orange (1 second on/5 seconds off): The batte ry is
charged to between 13 % and 49 % of its maximum capacity.
• The indicator slowly flashes red (1 second on/5 seconds off): The battery is
charged to less than 12 % of its capacity.

Drive indicator

accessed.
Num Lock indicator

key has been pressed. The virtual
numerical keypad is activate d. You can output th e characters indicated on the
upper right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is illuminated: The Caps Lock key has been pre ssed. All the
characters you type will appear in uppe r case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key is pressed.

Switching on the notebook
► Open the LCD screen.
Switchingon
► Press the ON/OFF switch for about one
second to switch the notebook on.
The power-on indicator is lit.
