Selecting a location

Select a suitable location for the device before set ting it up. Follow
the instructions below whe n doing so:
• Never place the device or the mains adapter on a heat-sensitive surface.
The surface could b e damaged as a result.
• Never place the device on a s oft surface (e.g. carpeting, upholstered furniture,
bed). This can block the air vents and cau se overheating and damage.
• The underside of the device heats up d uring normal operation. Prolonged contact
with the skin may become unpleasant or even result in burns.
• Place the device on a stable, flat, non-slippery surface. Please note that the
rubber feet of the device may ma rk certain types of delicate surfaces.
• Keep other objects at least 100 mm away from the device a nd its
mains ada pter to ensure adequate ventilation.
• Never cover the ventilation slots of the device.
• Do not expose the device to extreme environmental conditions. Protect
the device from dust, humidity, and heat.

Observe the safety precautions in the enclosed "Safety" manual.
The supplied power cable c onfo rms to the requirements of the country in
which you purchased your device. Make sure that the power cab le is ap proved
for use in the c ountry in which you intend to use it.
The mains adapter’s power cable s hou ld only be connected to a mains socket
if the device is connected to the mains adap ter.

the DC jack (DC IN) of the device.
► Connect the power cable (2) to the
mains a dapter.
► Plug the pow er cable (3) into a mains outlet.
