Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator
If you connect the notebook to the Port Replicat or during operation, problems c an
occur. We recommend tha t yo u switch off the notebook beforehand.
The mains adapter must be connected to the Port Replicator when t he notebook is
connected to the Port R eplicator. Some ports will not function if this is not done.
We recomm end that the notebook is not operated with the LCD screen closed when
the notebook is connected to the Port Replicator. Th e resulting overheating can
cause reduced performance and increased activity of the integrated fan.

► Switch the notebook off.
► Remove the mains plug for the ma
ins adapter from the mains socket.
► Disconnect the mains adapter cable from the DC socket (D C IN) of the notebook.

► Position the notebook so that it is in line with the back edge of the Port Replicator.
► Place the notebook onto the Port Replicator (1) and ensure that it locks into place correctly.
