Connecting an external monitor to the DisplayPort
It is possible to connect a digital monitor to the DisplayPort on the p ort replic ator.
Screen output is limited to a m aximum of two screens at any one time (see "
Key
comb inations", Page 43, section "Toggle output screen").
Digital DisplayPort
► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of the external monitor into the monitor po rt.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the noteboo k.
You can also switch between the external mon itor and the L CD monitor of the
notebook, see chapter "
Key combin ations" , Page 43.
You can display the same picture on the extern al monitor and the
notebook LCD monitor simultaneously.

The HDMI port on your notebook can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI conn ection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device .
► Connect the data cable to the HDMI
port of the notebook.
