4.7 Replacing the power-distribution module
The power-distribution module consists of a power backplane, integrated power
supply fans and a housing. In the case of a defect, you must replace the
complete module.
Ê Open the server as described in the section “Preparation” on page 17.
Ê Pull the power supply unit(s) out for a few centimeters to disconnect them
from the power backplane.
Ê Disconnect the cables of the power-distribution module from the fan board,
the SAS board and the system board.

Ê Loosen the screw (see the circle).
Ê Push the power-distribution module in direction of the rear side until the bolts
disengage.
Ê Take the power-distribution module out upward.
Ê Insert the new power-distribution module on the bolts.
Ê Push the power-distribution module in direction of the front side until the
bolts engage.
Ê Fasten the power-distribution module with the screw.
