Replacement routines
4.3 Replacing the I/O riser card
The I/O riser card is replaced the same way as a non-hot-plug controller. A
description can be found in the Options Guide for this server.
4.4 Replacing the Remote Management Module
The Remote Management Module (Intel® RMM3) is located on the I/O riser
card. The Remote Management Module is delivered with the I/O riser card only
and thus it can only be replaced with the complete I/O riser card.
4.5 Replacing the SAS/SATA RAID controller
card
Ê Open the server as described in section "Opening the server" on page 21

Ê Disconnect the HDD-activity cable (1) and both SAS cables (2) & (3) from
the SAS/SATA RAID controller card.
Ê Open the slot lock and remove the defective SAS/SATA RAID controller
card.
To install the new SAS/SATA RAID controller card follow the above steps in
reverse.
