Replacement routines
4.6 Replacing the front panel fan board
The front panel fan board is located under the fan box. To replace it you must
remove all of the fans and the fan box.
Ê Open the server as described in section "Opening the server" on page 21.
Ê Remove the following components:
– all of the fans (for a description see the Operating Manual)
– all memory boards and memory dividers (for a description see the
Options Guide)
I Make a note about the slot from which you pulled each memory
board for you have to replace it back into the same slot.

Ê Undo the six screws (see circles in figure above) and lift the fan box out of
the housing.
