ELECTRICAL AND AIR PIPE LINE CONNECTIONS
● CONNECTING THE EXHAUST BYPASS UNIT
(COMPRESSED AIR PRESSURE MEASUREMENT)

● In the figure above, → implies “open to atmospheric pressure”
● The branch to the exhaust bypass unit (①) should be placed as close to the WORK parts as possible.
● For WORK—WORK comparison measuring, the exhaust bypass circuit must also be provided for the
WORK parts on the Master side port.
● Measurements, on occasion, can become unstable due to an unbalance caused by the exhaust bypass unit
only being provided to the WORK side. For such cases, provide an additional exhaust bypass circuit for
the MASTER side to establish a balance.
☆ While the FE-20 exhaust bypass unit is connected, calibration with WORK parts application becomes
impossible. As a substitute procedure, carry out a normal test with atmospheric pressure as the test
pressure.
● EXHAUST BYPASS UNIT CONNECTION (VACUUM MEASUREMENT)

z In the figure above × indicates a closed circuit.
z The branch to the exhaust bypass unit (①) should be placed as close to the WORK as possible.
z For WORK-WORK comparison measurements, the exhaust bypass circuit must also be provided for
the WORK in the MASTER PORT side
z When the exhaust bypass unit for the WORK side makes the measurement unstable due to an
unbalance with the MASTER side, provide an additional exhaustion bypass circuit for the MASTER
side to establish balance.
☆ When an exhaust bypass unit is provided, the DISPLAY will indicate the atmospheric pressure at
ready status.
To adjust compressed air pressure, connect a WORK, and set the tester to BUBL mode (BUBBLE
TEST).
