5.10 Enroll Field Agent in Predix Cloud
To administer a Field Agent, it must first be enrolled. Each Field Agent can be enrolled using EdgeManager. Additionally,
the Mini Field Agent can be enrolled using the Field Agent Manager iPhone app.
5.10.1 Enroll using EdgeManager
The enrollment process involves the following activities.
1. From the customer’s EdgeManager URL, the Operator logs into the EdgeManager and creates a Field Agent device
representation with the desired Device Name, Device ID, assigns a technician, and selects the enrollment type.
2. The Technician obtains enrollment information from the Operator.
3. The Technician logs into the Web Console on the Field Agent to be enrolled, and navigates to the Predix Cloud
Enrollment page under Technician Console, Predix Cloud Enrollment.
4. The Technician enters the enrollment information, presses the Enroll Device button, and authorizes the enrollment (which
may include providing the Technician’s EdgeManager Username and Password).
5. From the EdgeManager, the Operator verifies that the Field Agent is displayed as Online.
