Das BMS wird über den integrierten On/Off Taster Ein- und Ausgeschaltet. Ein Tastendruck > 1 Sekunde
schaltet das BMS ein, ein Tastendruck > 4 Sekunden schaltet das BMS aus. Nach dem Einschalten wird
zuerst der Ladekanal aktiviert und für eine Zeitdauer von ca. 25 Sekunden geprüft ob ein Ladegerät
angeschlossen ist und Ladestrom fließt. Danach wird eine strombegrenzte Ladespannung am
Leistungsschalter aufgeschaltet, um die Kondensatoren eines Wechselrichters zu laden. Ist dieser
Ladevorgang erfolgreich und kann eine Kommunikation zur Steuereinheit des Antriebssystems hergestellt
werden, wird anschließend der Leistungsschalter aufgeschaltet. Dies wird mit der Meldung Automatik im
Display angezeigt. Wird während der 25 sekündigen Abfrage des Ladegerätes, oder auch nach dem Start
eines Ladevorgangs noch einmal die Einschalttaste für ca. 2 Sekunden betätigt, wird direkt der
Leistungsschalter mit dem Vorladevorgang des Motorcontrollers aufgeschaltet. Somit kann ein Laden und
das Entladen gleichzeitig stattfinden (Beispiel: Solarflugzeug) / The BMS is switched on and off via the
integrated On/Off button. Pressing the button for > 1 second switches the BMS on, pressing the button for >
4 seconds switches the BMS off. After switching on, the charging channel is first activated and it checked for
a period of about 25 seconds whether a charger is connected and a charging current is applied. Thereafter,
a current-limited charging voltage is applied to the circuit breaker to charge the capacitors of an inverter. If
this charging process is successful and communication with the control unit of the drive system can be
established, the circuit breaker is then switched. This is indicated on the display by the message “Automatic”.
If the “ON” button is pressed again for about 2 seconds during the 25 second query time of the charger or
after the start of a charging process, the circuit breaker is connected directly to the pre-charging process of
the motor controller. Thus, charging and discharging may take place at the same time (example: solar plane)
Über die Kommunikationsverbindung zur Motorsteuereinheit wird permanent der Strombedarf des Antriebs
abgefragt und am Leistungsschalter wird dieser Wert mit dem tatsächlich fließenden Strom verglichen
(Lastkennlinien parametrierbar). Übersteigt der Ist Strom den Sollstrom, dann wird der Leistungsschalter
abgeschaltet und der Antrieb wird stromlos. (Überlast und Kurzschlussschutz). / The current demand of the
drive is continuously determined via the communication connection to the motor control unit and this value is
compared with the actually flowing current at the circuit breaker (load characteristics can be parameterized).
If the actual current exceeds the setpoint current, the circuit breaker is switched off and the drive is de-
energized. (Protection from overload and short-circuits).
Danach wird bis zu dreimal versucht den Wechselrichter wieder zu laden und den Leistungsschalter
einzuschalten. Bleiben die drei Versuche erfolglos, dann wird das gesamte BMS abgeschaltet. / Thereafter,
up to three attempts are made to recharge the inverter and to switch on the circuit breaker. If the three attempts
are unsuccessful, then the entire BMS is switched off.

Während der Entladung werden kontinuierlich alle relevanten Daten wie Zellenspannungen, Temperaturen
etc. gemessen und im Falle einer schädlichen Entwicklung von Messwerten wird zuerst der Antriebssteuerung
