9320 Reference Controller Operating Manual 43 (52)
9 Independent Use of 9320 Without GLM
Before the independent operation, the 9320 should be configured using GLM software and computer.
Configuration of the 9320 always uses a computer and the GLM software. Consult the GLM User
Manual section on 9320 configuration for more details.
Once the 9320 device configuration has been completed using the GLM software, settings inside 9320
have been set. After this, these settings are available in the Independent use.
Use the GLM software to write the settings into the monitors ("Store the Settings") in order to make the
AutoCal calibration available when the 9320 is used in the stand-alone mode.
After the 9320 has been configured, 9320 can be used as an independent Monitoring Controller, without
the GLM software or computer. For this use, USB power supply is connected to one of the USB type C
connectors on 9320A.
In the independent mode, the following functions are available
Headphone functions
Audio input and output on line in/out and AES/EBU digital audio
Volume control functions including MUTE, DIM, PRESET
MONO, DIFF and INVERT functions for the stereo outputs
Sound exposure (noise dose) monitoring
SPL monitoring
The GROUP and BASS M keys are not available in the independent mode. The light at these keys turns
off in the independent mode to indicate this.
In the independent mode, the GLM and Aural ID Plug-In specific functions are not available in 9320 as
these functions are implemented in GLM and Aural ID Plug-In software and not in 9320.
