Owner’s Manual for Power Zone Pro Sync 13
General Information
supplied by the Main Controller. The Governor uses
battery voltage as a power source to drive its actuator
motor outputs.
Fuses
Power Zone Pro Sync generators contain a block of
ATO
®
fuses to protect the main DC power circuits. The
number and amperage rating of these fuses vary
depending on the generator configuration.
Power Zone Pro Sync generators also contain BBS-1
fuses to protect the AC voltage sensing circuits. There
will be 1 fuse for each phase being sensed. There could
be as few as 2 fuses in a standalone single phase
generator or as many as 6 fuses on a paralleling 3 phase
generator.
All of these DC fuses are in the section of the panel that
contains the Main Controller. The AC fuses are located
inside the circuit breaker box.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When replacing the fuses,
always replace them with the same size, type, and
rating as originally provided by Generac.
NOTE: Fuse ratings and number of fuses are subject to
change. There can also be other fuses in the system to
protect other modules.
Battery Charger (If Equipped)
Power Zone Battery Charger (If Equipped)
The Power Zone Battery Charger (Assembly No.
100000012116) recharges the battery on the generator.
The Battery Charger can charge either a 12 V or 24
V battery, in 10A or 20A mode. The charging modes
need to be selected using the Power Zone Pro Sync
Display for proper operation. The Main Controller
initializes the Battery Charger over CAN bus. The Battery
Charger provides the Main Controller with the status of
the generator battery. Some measurements like battery
voltage, battery temperature, and charge status are
calculated by the Battery Charger and communicated
back to the Main Controller. If any of these parameters
become unstable or begin falling out of range, the Battery
Charger will communicate to the Main Controller.
