PLA (Polylactic acid)
Polylactic acid or polylactide (short PLA) are plastics, malleable by heat supply (also called
thermoplastics). They are made of many chemically bound lactic acid molecules, so they belong to
the polymers. Polylactide plastics are biocompatible.
