10. Troubleshooting
10.1 Speed rivet cannot be set
Cause Remedy
Jaws are dirty
Clean and grease sliding surfaces

Jaws are worn Replace (point 8.1)
Insufcient working pressure See working pressure (point 4)
Gun stroke too low Fill with hydraulic oil (point 8.2)
White valve not activated to shut the jaws Activate valve
10.2 Not possible to reload the speed rivet
Cause Remedy
Jaws are closed Open jaws by pressing the black button
Non-return device in wrong position
Remove non-return device and replace it
in the correct position (point 7.1)
Non-return device jammed
Clean non-return device and grease slid-
ing surfaces and circular spring
Wrong spreader nosepiece
Attach correct spreader nosepiece (point
6.1, 6.2)
Wrong mandrel spring Attach correct mandrel spring (point 6.3)
9. Repairs
Repairs under warranty are carried out by the manufacturer. Repairs outside the warranty
period should only be carried out by skilled personnel. Failure to observe the assembly and
setting procedures and operation by non-skilled personnel may result in serious damage to
the setting tool. In case of doubt, always send the rivet setting tool back to the supplier or to
