7.5 How to reload the rivet setting tool
• Activate the black button to release the empty mandrel.
• Remove the empty mandrel with mandrel spring from the rivet setting tool.
• To reload the rivet setting tool, follow the instructions in point 7.4.
8. Maintenance and care
The complete jaw mechanism must be maintained regularly.
8.1 Cleaning/changing jaws
• Disconnect the setting tool from the compressed air network.
• Remove the protective cover.
• Release the cover completely by unscrewing the two screws using allen key SW3.
• Remove the jaw guide complete with jaws from the housing.
• Remove the jaws.
• Clean and grease the entire jaw guide and sliding surfaces of the pressure sleeve.
• Cleaning the jaws: Clean old jaws and replace them in the jaw guide (held in position by
grease).
• Changing the jaws: Insert new jaws into the jaw guide (held in position by grease).
• Assemble in reverse order ensuring that all parts are xed tight.
