3.4 Control elements
The possible control elements are:

3.5 Safety devices
The required safety elements must be installed in accordance with the EU directives as
well as with the safety regulations valid in the country of application.
Attention:
We advise to use safety elements from the Gilgen product range. Gilgen cannot
assume any functional guarantee if elements from other suppliers are being
used!

• Internal motion detector Protection of the main and secondary closing edge
• Externalmotiondetector Protectionofthemainandsecondaryclosingedge
• EMERGENY-STOP button Stops the movement of the sliding wing
• Manual unlocking Emergency opening (if a locking is installed)
3.5.1 Reversing and stopping mechanism
If the sliding wings meet an obstacle during the closing process, the drive unit immediate-
lystopsandreopensthewings.Forreasonsofpersonalsafety,thenextclosingattempt
is performed after 3 seconds with reduced speed from the point where the obstacle had
been detected.
If the door touches an obstacle during the opening procedure, it is immediately stopped.
Forreasonsofpersonalsafety,thenextopeningattemptisperformedwithreduced
speed from the point where the obstacle had been detected.
3.5.2 Limitation of the force
The static driving power is limited to 150 N.
If the sliding wings are not protected by means of a fan-beam feeler/a protection wing
(depending of risk evaluation, directives, prescriptions), this protection is achieved by a
limitation of the dynamic forces of the sliding wing.
